Kim Karras has been a partner of the firm since 1995 and has over 20 years experience practicing as a solicitor. Kim obtained both her Bachelor of Commerce degree and her law degree at the University of British Columbia. She articled with a large Vancouver law firm of over 100 lawyers and began practicing in 1986.
As a solicitor, Kim’s practice is concentrated in real estate and corporate and business law, as well as the areas of wills, trusts, wealth preservation, estate planning and administration.
Kim is a registered trust and estate practitioner and has years of experience in estate planning, estate administration and the preparation of wills and trusts. She is a frequent instructor for the Continuing Legal Education Society in the area of wills and estates and has instructed for The Institute of Chartered Accountants of BC’s professional development programs in the area of estate planning. Kim is frequently asked to speak to professionals in industry and community groups regarding wills, trusts and estate planning.
Kim oversees one of the largest residential conveyancing practices in the Fraser Valley. She lectures frequently to loans officers, mortgage specialists and realtors in the area of real estate and mortgage financing.
In 2005 Kim was awarded the Independent Business Person of the Year by the South Surrey/White Rock Chamber of Commerce.
Kim was born in Vancouver, is married with two daughters and has lived in South Surrey since 1992. She is actively involved in community affairs and in her spare time enjoys skiing, traveling and gardening.
